Wawa Welcome America!, the City of Philadelphia’s free July 4th Festival, was a huge success! Thousands of people from across the country – and the world – joined together to celebrate our nation’s birth here in Philadelphia, the birthplace of America.
From the largest free concert in America, “Life, Liberty and You” featuring the Goo Goo Dolls and The Roots, to a Birthday Party stretching more than a mile and the elaborate Independence Parade, visitors and residents alike enjoyed 11 days packed with free events, fireworks, history, entertainment, food, culture and fun!
We do regret that some information was miscommunicated, including the start times of the third of three spectacular fireworks displays, and we apologize if this caused any inconvenience. We understand how important accurate information is in planning your time at the festival, and we promise to do our utmost in the future to ensure all posted information is clear and correct, so you can relax and enjoy Wawa Welcome America! to the fullest.
We hope to see you next year for yet another amazing Birthday Party for America, Wawa Welcome America!, the largest and most popular July 4th celebration in the country.

Welcome America! is Philadelphia’s 4th of July celebration where for 11 days we showcase all that America’s birthplace has to offer. Our new title sponsor, Wawa Inc., has joined the festival, now named Wawa Welcome America!
Though the festival name has changed, visitors can look forward to the great food, history, entertainment and fun they have come to expect from this incredibly Philadelphia celebration of the birth of our nation. There is something special for residents, visitors, teens, grandparents and everyone in between.
While most are familiar with our 4th of July concert and its place as the “Largest Free Concert in America”, there is an entire week of other activities to enjoy. This year we’re especially thrilled to offer not one, not two, but three fireworks shows that will light up Philadelphia’s night skies.

Getting to Philadelphia is even now even easier. Save 40% off on companion ticket with paid regular fare to Philadelphia. Go to VisitPhilly.com/Amtrak for details and restrictions apply.
